A fly-grid counterweight system was integrated into the roof structure of Budweiser Gardens at one end of the seating bowl, and allows theatre events to take place. The system swings down from the roof and anchors into the floor, with or without the ice surface in place. The theatre mode is designed to accommodate 3,000 patrons over two levels of seating for a more intimate experience. This system has allowed for an entirely new stream of revenue during the summer months when the building is normally quiet.
